Thanks to Sleeping Bear Press, Families can Share a Story and Shape a Future
I know our Literacy Blog Tour is still two weeks away, but it's never too early to say Thank You. So, today we're saying thanks to Audrey Mitnick and Sleeping Bear Press for their generous donation of two bedtime stories to be given away during Share a Story 2010.

Say Daddy!
When a newborn bear arrives, Mother shares a book about love and brother reads a tale about friendship. Aunt Grace and Uncle Roy read about adventures and laughter. Daddy reads a book about promises and making dreams come true. Grandma reads a book about families. Each member of the family is hopeful that after the reading and snuggling and hugging, their name would be baby bear’s first word. The delighted family dances and cheers when they hear baby’s first word is …BOOK! Daddy, however, just won’t give up, “Now, say Daddy!” Say Daddy! is a gentle story that reinforces the importance of lifelong reading beginning at the earliest age.
Goodnight Baby Bear!
The Bear family from Say Daddy! is back with fun-filled days. Baby Bear spends time with Momma in the garden and helps Daddy fix the tractor. Big Brother takes him to the beach, and he goes with Aunt Grace to the acquarium. Even though there is something new to do, each day ends with a very special evening routine that includes one book and one special treat. What better way for family members to instill a love of reading than an evening routine that includes a bedtime story? In Goodnight Baby Beartake the time at the end of a busy day treat (recipe included), and a tender moment!
